Project Mom (Version 2.0)
"Project Mom" is a two-act comedy/drama set at a fictitious women's magazine and concerns several editors who have been charged with sifting through hundreds of submissions in a "mother-daughter" essay contest to find the best writing. Along the way, they learn so much about being a mother, being a daughter, what we learn, what we forget, what we have in common. And they learn a little about themselves as well. It is a unique comedy/drama based on the actual writings of many mothers with ties to the New Jersey area. Originally staged in 2006, "Project Mom" has been updated with some new stories for this performance. Five performances of the play will take place May 9 - 11, 2008 (Mother's Day Weekend). Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Silk & Tweed, 148 Farnsworth Avenue in Bordentown. Ticket reservations may also be made by calling the Silk & Tweed at 609-298-4456 (ask for Mak). There is limited seating for all shows (50 seats). |
